When Michael received the first marina permit issued by the Lower Colorado River Authority on Lake Travis, it marked more than an administrative first. It placed his work at the beginning of a new chapter in how substantial marine structures would be planned, reviewed, and built on the lake.

A marina brings together far more than a row of slips. Water depth, changing lake levels, shoreline access, circulation, structural loads, lifts, utilities, and the movement of multiple boats all have to work as one system. That early permit reflects the kind of detailed lake knowledge Aquamarine still brings to every multi-slip project.

Michael carried that experience into Aquamarine Boat Docks, established in 1982. Across more than four decades, the work has grown from practical lake structures into custom docks, private marinas, repairs, floating systems, and gathering spaces made for the way Central Texas families actually live on the water.
